H&M Lincoln Opens : Scribbles has a cheeky haul....or two!!

So it finally arrived! After a few months of excitingly anticipating the opening of  H&M in Lincoln's Waterside Centre, the 14th of August 2014 finally arrived! My best friend Naomi went on opening day (unfortunately I had to work) and said the queues were immense and there were freebies! Since it opened I have been there twice and collected quite a nice haul! I will definitely be going back....many, many times!

The lingerie section is beautiful and I was very proud to come home with this beautiful sunset orange bra and pants! They had a good selection of basic underwear, babydolls, basques and nightwear!

However, this is DEFINITELY MY FAVOURITE item! The unicorn loving Scribbles found herself standing before an oversized jumper for £5.99 - baby pink and covered in UNICORNS! Love it.... cannot wait to wear this with some leggings or skinny jeans!

I love that Aztec prints do not seem to be disappearing anywhere any time soon! This skirt was another great find! Perusing through the accessories section too I got this cute little snakeskin cosmetic bag! Beautiful!

Leggings are always a must have in my wardrobe but up until now I only ever used to buy the plain black ones from Primark! These are fantastic and cost an affordable price of £12.99. These may have to be featured in my next OOTD!

Well there it is ladies, my first trips into H&M Lincoln! Funnily enough I am taking a trip to Nottingham tomorrow and OOPS may find myself in there H&M too!

Thanks for reading lovelies!

Eyeko : It's fairly conclusive!

As promised here is the concluding part to my review on Eyeko eye products. Firstly the hydrogel eye patches were great! I would happily spend money on these in the future as I found these very gentle on the skin under my eyes whilst making me look more awake and refreshed!

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the Black Magic mascara. I have often found that I don't get on with curved mascara wands and this one was no exception. I found the application quite messy even with the tool provided. The mascara was quite clumpy and I found myself using my Little Mix Collection mascara to tidy it up. This is not something I would pay £15 for. However, this is not to say it won't work for someone else; I just did not get on with it!

However, the eyeliner is FABULOUS!!! I cannot sing its praises anymore if I tried. The thin felt tip-like pen makes it so easy to apply and the marine blue colour really brought the colour out in my eyes! I had a feel-pretty day at work and even had a couple of people compliment me! (Always a bonus in my opinion!!) I am very tempted to get back on the website and see what other eyeliners they have! It's the first pen-like one I have tried and I LOVE IT!

Eyeko London & Alexa Chung

I am quite excited to be testing out three products by Eyeko London in this week's post and thought that I would start by introducing them this evening before using them tomorrow! As you can see from the picture above the beautiful Alexa Chung works alongside the company in an effort to show her famous cat-eye eyeliner flick look can be achieved very easily!

The Visual Eyes liquid eyeliner in Marine (£15.00) and the Black Magic Drama & Curl Mascara (£18.00) on first glance look like fantastic products! The mascara even comes with a funky Eyeko Shield (which I will admit upon first seeing it in the box thought I had been given a guitar pick!) to help you maximise the length of your lashes without smudges.

The Hydrogel eye patch kit (£15.00 for a set of four patches) also looks quite appealing and as someone that sutffers from that 'baggy-eye' look I am looking forward to seeing if there any visible results after one use.

I am going in with an open mind and hope to achieve a good look with these products. I often find that spending a bit more on make up can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, meaning that more often than not I will revert back to the budget priced products from standard drugstores!

Watch this space...

Healthy eating is EASY!

As some of you will know, over the last few months I have been trying really hard to lose two stone by simply being more active and eating healthily! Being active has proven more difficult because, quite honestly, I lack motivation for the gym! However, walking everywhere and not taking buses and completing 30 day challenges for Abs, squats and push ups (using free applications on the Iphone store) has really helped!

The healthy eating has been a lot easier! Something that really annoys me is when people say that eating healthy is expensive and takes longer to prepare. As a nation we use excuses like we are  'too busy' or 'takeaway is nicer' or we eat convenience foods that we prick and stick in a microwave or unwrap and plonk in an oven. LAZY.

NEWSFLASH! It is not cheaper to order in or bulk buy ready meals from a supermarket and it has a lasting effect on your weight, heart, skin, hair, nails and energy levels. I know this post might sound like i'm ranting but I think it is vitally important to drive it home to people that what they put in their mouths can have a huge impact on their future.

For dinner last night I cooked my boyfriend and I my own variation of chicken salad. it was gorgeous and packed full of good ingredients. Salad never has to be boring; if you are eating enough of the 'good stuff' you can treat yourself to something naughty as well!
