Spa at home!

After a long day sometimes the only remedy for me is a long, relaxing soak in the bath followed by a mini pamper session! I love that there are so many products on the market that we can achieve this so easily and at affordable prices too.

One of my favourite all time brands is Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden, whose products can be found in Boots stores all over the UK! Aesthetically, what attracted me to the brand first of all was definitely the packaging! Bright, cheerful and classy these bottles definitely brighten up any bathroom or dresser! I also liked that Boots offered the full sized range and the smaller 'travel sized' option. I used the travel size ones first to test the products out! Saves you money!

So today I want to review the Luxury Bath Float and the Body Butter! The full sized products are only £10 each and I have to say that if you purchased these you would not be disappointed!

The bath float is fragrant but not overpowering and really relaxes both mind and soul! The most noticeable ingredients in this is Fresia flowers and moisturising properties of baobab and vitamin E! You can literally soak for as long as you want and you will still feel moisturised afterwards! It also bubbles up really nicely and you don't need that much each time!

Secondly, the body butter! If you're anything like me I LOVE to use body butter after a bath or a shower. It locks in moisture and can leave your body smelling so gorgeous perfume isn't necessary!! The body butter by Sanctuary Spa has won awards it is that good and I have to say I understand why. The main ingredient is sweet almond oil which is what gives your skin that smoothing, silky texture afterwards. I love how light it is and how quick it melts into the skin. You could definitely use this product in a hurry so there is no excuse not to moisturise! Some body butters out there are very thick, sticky and take ages to soak in and just sit on the skin. I don't think is good for your skin or your pores so look for a product like this that just melts away and leaves skin silky smooth!

Thank you for reading as always and please comment below if you have any good recommendations or if you have tried these products too!

Lots of Love

You say potato....I say my secret recipe for homemade wedges!

Hello loyal readers! It's Monday and my week is full of recruiting, promoting, applying and cooking!  I never thought that make up products would change my life!

So to kick start my week I thought I would offer you all a different kind of freebie: A Recipe! A lot of people on Facebook have asked me about my homemade potato wedges and I have to say they are the easiest things to cook in the world! I hope you try them and I really hope you enjoy them!

Sarah's Homemade Potato Wedges!!!

Ingredients

Potatoes ( I use new potatoes mostly)
Olive Oil (2 tbsp)
Oregano (1 tsp)
Smoked Paprika (1 tsp)
Sea Salt (as desired)
Garlic (finely chopped)

Oven set to 180 degrees

Cut your potatoes in half and then into triangular wedges. Pop the oil, oregano, smoked paprika, finely chopped garlic in the bowl and mix.

Toss the potatoes wedges through the mix until all coated.

Pour onto an oven tray and sprinkle as much sea salt as required. I love using Pink Sea Salt!

Pop in the oven for 25-45 minutes and take out once you are happy with their texture!

I love them and you can experiment with the toppings! I know supermarkets sell pre-made mixes but it's more fun to play around with the flavour!

Enjoy!

This girl is coconuts!

I'm at it again readers; posting once again ANOTHER review on a coconut based product. I can't help it; this stuff is made of miracles!

I love our local Savers! If any of you UK girls have one nearby and don't venture in you are missing out BIG TIME! You can find a lot of branded healthcare and beauty products there without the expensive price tag attached so it's a great place to find a good quality bargain!

Now as we all know I am a sucker for a REAL bargain and often like to try out products that appear great and are really cheap.

So, I found this. Inecto Divine Coconut Hair Oil. For a £1.

I was looking for something to help smooth my hair without leaving it greasy and looking over worked. Not easy for someone like me with really fine/flyaway hair!

I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and I can honestly see the difference. I only use 2/3 pumps and run it through the lengths of my hair (avoiding the roots). Brushing my hair is easier after towel drying it AND it feels/looks a lot less brittle!

I got a golden tickeeeeeet!

I googled the name Inecto to see what would come up....

Apparently, sources tell me they also sell the shampoo and conditioner in Savers too...for a £1...

Guess where I am heading this weekend???

Thanks for reading!

Spritz Miracle!

Hello Gorgeous!

I have a beautiful product to share with you all this afternoon so sit back, grab a cuppa and get a load of this!

As some of you will know I have become a Younique Presenter in the last 3 months! One of the perks of working from home and promoting gorgeous products is that I get to use them too! Isn't that the blogger's dream??? One product I have had the privilege of testing for a while now is the Refreshed Rosewater.

The packaging it comes in is just gorgeous and really brightens up my make up collection! I also noticed immediately how easy it was to use too!

The product is supposed to add hydration to your skin, whilst removing redness and oil. So.... how did it fair? To start with I learned quickly that you really don't need much of this product at all! It definitely goes a long way as 1/2 sprays was enough for me. The redness in my face has reduce and I have also noticed if I dab a little under my eyes it reduces the puffiness massively!

It also smells DIVINE! I mean, if you are fan of the scent of freshly cut roses you are onto a winner with this product. There is no presence of any chemical-like scent either which is a massive bonus!

Not only does this re-hydrate my skin, reduce redness and puffiness but I have also used it to set my make up in place for the WHOLE day!! Impressive I know.

I don't know whether this would work for everyone but I have also noticed a reduction in the amount of spots I get on my chin. I have terrible complexion and this is just improving it daily!

Also, lately it has been circulating that it is helping people with ECZEMA and PSORIASIS!

I really, really LOVE this product and at only £23 I think it is a massive bargain! I use it every day and as you can see I have now used about half! But there are so many uses!

If you are keen to know more or would love to try this there is the link above or you can visit www.mylashconfession.co.uk All products come with a 14 day guarantee so you can literally trial it for 2 weeks after purchase!

Stick around because I will be sharing 2 other products I have been using recently.....one from Savers store and the other from Yves Rocher!

Thanks for reading lovelies!

So I think I may be a tad cocoNUTS!

So it occurs to me that everyone has an obsession with something; a favourite song, a film perhaps?Nope my obsession is sourcing natural beauty products...sometimes about as natural and raw as you can get...!

I sometimes wonder what a cavewoman's skin complexion looked like under all that excess hair?!

Anyway, back to the blog...I have spoken to a lot of women recently about their skincare routine, specifically what they use to remove their make up. Up until about a year ago I only used make up wipes and now I steer clear!

Some girls have said to me they use:

Johnson's Baby oil?

Micellar Water?

Plain, perfume free soap?

Some have even said they just use warm water!

Well I have a new one for you all this evening. Actually, I fib. It's not new at all and i'm more than positive that plenty of women around the globe are doing the same thing.

COCONUT OIL

Pure, unrefined coconut oil, which is like a hard wax until it warms.

I actually purchased this one from Ebay and I use it not just for removing my make up but for these reasons as well...

Dry patches - makes an awesome body butter alternative!

Hair Conditioner - mix a little with warm water and mask your hair in this for around 10 minutes before rinsing!

Scrub - Mix a little with sugar or sea salt depending on how course you want the scrub to be!

Cooking - it is superb when cooking chicken breasts, in curries or Thai food!

Smoothies - I made some absolutely gorgeous Pineapple and Banana smoothies the other weekend...add a dollop of this too for a PinaColada themed smoothie!

I cannot sell this stuff enough and I trade in make-up not Coconuts....

So before you think I have gone a little nuts, grab yourself a jar. It lasts ages, I think this one will keep me going for about 3 months!!

Try it out and let me know what you think,

Thank you for reading and have a beautiful evening <3

Becoming a Younique Presenter!

I cannot contain my excitement and have to tell you all! I decided (after months and months of wanting to) to join the Younique family and become a Presenter! This is something I firmly believe in; everything from their mission to uplift, empower and validate women globally to the actual products they sell.

I'm not going to be hitting this hard and pushing sales on people. That is not what this is about. Once I receive my starter pack (as shown above) I think it is important for me to test and product review every single item.

I really cannot wait to get my hands on the Moodstruck 3D fiber lashes - many a time I have fallen out with a pair of falsies and got glue all over my hands!

I have been keen to join Younique for a long time now and cannot wait to work hard and earn rewards along the way! I think it will do a lot for my own confidence whilst I hope I can help women feel great too at the same time!

I also love that I can be reassured the products being used daily by my friends, my family, my customers will be cruelty free and free from harmful chemicals and ingredients.

So, there it is!

If you do want to check out my page just click here.

Also I have a new facebook page now for all things BLOG and Younique :)

I will be sharing my posts, my parties and anything else fun and exciting I discover along the way!

Thank you for reading as always!

I'm back... and I have a beauty review with me!

Wowzer! It has been a while, I know. As I sit here sheepishly trying to reconnect with my blog and my fellow bloggers, thoughts come flooding by of all the wonderful products that I've tried and tested since February.

Too many.

Far, far too many.

Now that I am moved in with the fella and settled I can get back on this and fully dedicate some time to sharing my thoughts with you all. More importantly though I have truly missed your blogs too and really really look forward to catching up on your posts too!

Today I want to talk to you about a neat little product I found for around £5.

L'oreal's Triple Active Nourish moisturiser for hydrating normal to very dry skin is fabulous. On first impressions the packaging is sophisticated with its pearly lid, white container and gold lettering! Not bad for a product I found in a supermarket...

Next, I always like to smell my moisturiser. This one is ever so slightly perfumed but it is not over powering. I find this a relief because more often than not the heavily perfumed moisturisers are the ones that affect my sensitive t-zone the most!

The consistency of the moisturiser is not too heavy, although it is thick. It's hard to describe but you know as soon as you dab a bit to your face that this is a decent moisturiser, not watery and going to work on difficult areas fast!

I have been using it for a few days now and it is really helping my forehead and cheeks combat the dryness I was suffering... I blame the British weather!!

Try it out, see if it works....and as always give me feedback!

Thank you for reading ladies,

Love Scribbles
